On October 24, 2023, the 27th Asia International Power Transmission and Control Technology Exhibition (PTC ASIA) officially kicked off at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. As a beacon in the power transmission industry in the Asia-Pacific region, PTC ASIA is dedicated to providing a professional platform for procurement, supply, and technical information exchange for exhibitors from around the world. On the opening day, the exhibition attracted numerous professional visitors from both domestic and international markets.

The Italian Trade Agency, in collaboration with the Italian Association of Mechatronic Technologies and Components for Fluid Power, Power Transmission, Smart Automation and Control of Industrial Products and Processes (FEDERTEC), jointly organized a delegation of 7 leading Italian companies showcasing cutting-edge technologies in the power transmission industry. This marks the first return of the Italian National Pavilion to international exhibitions in this field after the normalization of international trade relations. The participation of the Italian delegation has garnered significant attention from both domestic and international professionals in the power transmission industry.

More than a thousand renowned companies and institutions in the field of intelligent manufacturing gathered at this grand exhibition. The Italian National Pavilion, in particular, attracted significant attention: with its sleek and concise design, user-friendly layout, the pavilion showcased exquisite product craftsmanship to professional visitors in the best possible manner. This highlighted Italy’s mechanical equipment products, emphasizing their attention to detail, compact delicacy, and user-friendly flexibility.

开幕当天，意大利对外贸易委员会上海代表处首席代表Augusto Di Giacinto先生和意大利流体动力、动力传输、智能自动化以及工业产品和过程控制的机电一体化技术和组件的行业协会会长Marco Ferrara先生共同见证了意大利国家馆开馆，与到场的中外来宾和专业观众热烈交流，并预祝展会顺利圆满完成。
On the opening day, Mr. Augusto Di Giacinto, Chief Representative of the Shanghai Representative Office of the Italian Trade Agency, and Marco Ferrara, Director of the Italian Association of Mechatronic Technologies and Components for Fluid Power, Power Transmission, Smart Automation and Control of Industrial Products and Processes（FEDERTEC）, inaugurated the Italian national pavilion. They warmly exchanged greetings with the Chinese and foreign guests and professional audience present at the scene, and extended their best wishes for the successful completion of the exhibition.

In the field of power transmission, Italian products and solutions have consistently held a significant market share in the Chinese market. The economic and trade interactions between the two countries have been close, resulting in rapid growth in trade volume. According to statistics, in 2022, China imported hydraulic and pneumatic products from Italy totaling 328 million euros, accounting for 7% of China’s total imports in the hydraulic and pneumatic products category. The import value of Italian mechanical transmission products was 355 million euros, constituting 4% of China’s total imports in the mechanical transmission products category. Italy has become the fourth largest source of imports for hydraulic and pneumatic products and the sixth largest source for mechanical transmission products in China.
